Description
This course is taught using a combination of a self-directed online course and in person classroom and practical sessions. The swim instructor course is divided into 3 stages.
1. Swim Instructor self directed online course (access will be given closer to the course), 2. In person practical and classroom sessions. 3. A successful practical evaluation. At the end participants will be certified with their YMCA swim instructors.
Location
The Mississauga Y offers a large health and fitness centre with a newly renovated conditioning room, extensive youth and community programs, and child care services. Camp programs are available during school breaks throughout the year. Free parking is available on-site for members.

Notes
Participants who withdraw from the course more than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund. Participants who withdraw from the course less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a refund less 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be granted once the course has started.
