Description
Take your basketball experience to the next level with the YMCA GTA Basketball League. Designed for participants looking for a more competitive experience than our in-house league, this program brings teams from YMCA centres across the GTA together for organized league play.
Teams will travel to different YMCA facilities to compete against other centres, providing participants with the opportunity to experience new facilities, meet players from across the GTA, and compete in a more challenging environment. The league emphasizes teamwork, skill development, sportsmanship, and competitive play while maintaining the inclusive and community-focused values of the YMCA.
This program is ideal for players who are ready to move up from our in-house competitive leagues and experience the next level of YMCA basketball at the GTA level.
This League will require travel time and the potential to be playing games outside of your centre's home court time and day.
Location
Located in the heart of the quickly growing Canary District, our newest Centre of Community is an 82,000 square foot, fully accessible facility. It features something for everyone, including two pools, an indoor track and gymnasium, weight room, cardio machines, green roof, kids' play structure, cycling studio, functional fitness training space, and more. Camp programs are available during school breaks throughout the year.

Children 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16 years.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
To withdraw a participant from a program, you can do so by accessing the participant’s Registration History via your MY Y Account through MyY.YMCAGTA.ORG or by submitting your request to withdraw by email to memberservices@YMCAGTA.ORG
Participants who withdraw from the course more than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund. Participants who withdraw from the course less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a refund less 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be granted once the course has started.
CHANGE TO MEMBERSHIP:
If you cancel your paid monthly or yearly membership, your program registration fee may be subject to adjustment based on the rates applicable to your new membership status.
PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS:
At the YMCA, we are committed to providing a consistent and high-quality experience for all participants. However, there may be occasions where programs need to be cancelled.
If a program is cancelled due to reasons within the YMCA’s control—such as facility maintenance, staff availability, or scheduling conflicts—a credit will be automatically applied to your account for future use.Make up classes are not available if you miss a program.
Please note that no credits or refunds will be issued for program cancellations resulting from events outside of the YMCA’s control. These include, but are not limited to, severe weather, power outages, or other unforeseen emergencies that impact program delivery.
