Day Camp
Description
Eco-Adventure focuses on outdoor skill development, natural arts and science. Campers will forage for natural art material, develop bushcraft skills, and participate in eco-science activities while learning about native species. Campers have the opportunity to earn the following Outdoor Skill Buttons; archery, fire building, knot tying, slacklining and tree identification. Campers ages 9 - 12, will have the opportunity to earn their orienteering outdoor skill buttons. To complement this program, campers will participate in a variety of traditional camp activities.
Location
Y Day Camp utilizes Purple Woods Conservation Area to deliver a variety of indoor and outdoor programs. Located on the crest of the Oak Ridges Moraine, Heritage Hall offers spectacular scenic views of surrounding meadows and forests, with access to trails for hiking & biking and green space. for active games. Programs operate rain or shine! Campers will swim and paddle off-site. Camp operates 9:00am – 4:00pm. Bussing is available from bus stops throughout the city.
