Description
This class is for children ages 3 - 5 who have completed the beginner and intermediate classes. This is level 5 and 6 of the YMCA Preschool Swim Program. Children in this class are working towards the following skills: • Can comfortably swim 2 lengths (50 meters) of the pool without stopping• Comfortably treads water for 30 seconds• Focus is on stroke correction and endurance using the following strokes: front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke.
Supervision: Children 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16 years.

Location
This spacious, 60,000 square foot facility houses a full-featured health and fitness centre, as well as school break and summer camps programs. On-site parking is available free to members.

Goggles are recommended for this class. Swim diapers (reusable or disposable) are required for children who are not fully toilet trained.CANCELLATION POLICY:
To withdraw a participant from a program, you can do so by accessing the participant’s Registration History via your MY Y Account through MyY.YMCAGTA.ORG or by submitting your request to withdraw by email to memberservices@YMCAGTA.ORG
Participants who withdraw from the course more than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund. Participants who withdraw from the course less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a refund less 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be granted once the course has started.
CHANGE TO MEMBERSHIP:
If you cancel your paid monthly or yearly membership, your program registration fee may be subject to adjustment based on the rates applicable to your new membership status.
PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS:
At the YMCA, we are committed to providing a consistent and high-quality experience for all participants. However, there may be occasions where programs need to be cancelled.
If a program is cancelled due to reasons within the YMCA’s control—such as facility maintenance, staff availability, or scheduling conflicts—a credit will be automatically applied to your account for future use.
Please note that no credits or refunds will be issued for program cancellations resulting from events outside of the YMCA’s control. These include, but are not limited to, severe weather, power outages, or other unforeseen emergencies that impact program delivery.
