Description
Take this course after you've completed Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid with CPR B. This course is the prerequisite for National Lifeguard. You'll enjoy more advanced training, including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. A timed 400 metre swim is included.
This course is being financially subsidized by a generous donor to help a new generation of Lifeguards become certified.
Standard First Aid is the WSIB-recognized certification required by Early Childhood Educators, Dental, Electricians, Sports Coaches and many other professionals. Designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid and CPR. Includes CPR-C certification.
Prerequisites: You must have Bronze Medallion and valid Emergency First Aid certification.
Location
This family-friendly centre offers health and fitness services designed to help people of all ages get active, as well as child care and community-building programs. Camp programs are available during school breaks throughout the year. A large, private lot on-site provides free parking for members.

You must provide proof of your Bronze Medallion and Standard First Aid at the start of this course. This course is the prerequisite for National Lifeguard. You'll enjoy more advanced training, including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. A timed swim is included.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Participants who withdraw from the course more than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund. Participants who withdraw from the course less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a refund less 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be granted once the course has started.
