YMCA Child Care Inclement Weather Procedure  

On rare occasions, YMCA child care programs may close due to severe weather conditions.

Our full-day child care and Before & After School programs follow the same closure procedure as local school boards. If schools in your region are closed due to inclement weather, all YMCA child care programs in that area will also close, including programs located outside of school buildings.

Families will be notified by phone call and/or through the Weemarkable™ app when their program is cancelled. Closure updates will also be shared via:

• The YMCA website
• The YMCA of Greater Toronto Instagram account
• Your local board of education’s website

Please note: Child care fee credits or refunds are not issued for program closures due to inclement weather.
