Bridge to Construction Management

Bridge to Construction Management (BCM) is a professional bridging program offered in collaboration between the YMCA of Greater Toronto, Employment Ontario, and Seneca Polytechnic.

About the Program

This six-week bridging program offers a focused and modern approach to skills development for internationally trained professionals pursuing careers in the non-regulated construction management sector. It includes pre-employment training, essential Canadian workplace skills, and hands-on technical instruction designed to launch or elevate careers in construction management in Ontario. This program is open to Ontario residents only.

• Explore a variety of job roles across both public and private sectors.
• Fill knowledge and skill gaps in Ontario construction standards, scheduling, safety regulations, administration, quality control, and specialized roles.
• Apply learning through a capstone project, where participants work in teams to present solutions and recommendations to an executive panel.
• Participate in a work placement or internship with Canadian organizations to gain practical experience.
• Build the foundation for licensing and certification in roles such as Site Supervisor, Scheduler, Health & Safety Officer, Construction Administrator, Quality Control Inspector, and Residential Inspector.
• Complete training as a Seneca Polytechnic student and connect with top construction management employers across Ontario and Canada.
