Those who provide both care and programs for children bring light to every day—they ignite curiosity, confidence, and joy in the lives they touch. We’re deeply grateful for all that you do.
On behalf of the Town of Whitby, thank you to all the childcare workers and early childhood educators who devote their time and talents to supporting children and families. Your dedication helps build stronger communities and lays the foundation for lifelong learning and success. The care and dedication you bring to your work each day make a lasting impact on children’s lives and help shape a brighter future for us all.

Teachers are the backbone of this daycare centre. The teachers scroos all the age classes, may it be in Infant room, Toddler and Preschool room are just amazing . The best quality which all teachers carry here is the warmth and care they provide to all the children. Blessed to have YMCA as the daycare centre for my child.

It’s hard to articulate how we’ve been impacted by such a wonderful team, but it’s been nothing but a lovely and positive experience. Our Evelyn has flourished so much at daycare and there’s no way to express how grateful we are for that. We can’t thank you enough for providing such a warm and nurturing environment for her and truly couldn’t be more pleased with how much fun she has. Our girls days (plus Matt) often has a piece of the day spent playing daycare and it’s really nice to see how positive her pretend reflections of each staff member comes through. Honestly we’re already heartbroken for the day she’s going to graduate out. I truly don’t know if any educators will ever compare.

To Cait, Kayla, Nicole and other ECEs in the pre-school room at St. Kateri! Thank you for the care and attention you give to Alexander and the kids in his room. He comes home everyday happy having spent the day with you and the other kids! My heart and mind can be at rest and ease each day knowing that all of you are creating a safe, happy learning environment for him everyday. We appreciate all that you do every single day! On behalf of the City of Vaughan and Members of Council, I am pleased to extend our gratitude to the many child care workers and early childhood educators for the important role they play in our day-to-day lives.
Our youth are the leaders of tomorrow and it is important that we provide them with the necessary skills to excel in all areas of life. I want to thank the YMCA Greater Toronto for providing a safe place for the youth of Vaughan to grow. It is because of the commitment and dedication of child care workers and staff who work with young children that they have built a strong foundation for kids to flourish.

My husband and I want to express our deepest gratitude to the amazing educators at YMCA, Hanson Rd. for the love and care you’ve shown our little Nhyiraba.
Leila, Hifa, Palak and Irina — you were truly a blessing as his very first teachers in the Infant Room. Your warmth, patience, and gentle care helped him feel safe, happy, and loved every single day. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to his daycare journey.
Now that he’s moved to the Toddler 1 class, we are so thankful to Asia, Jobelle, and Palak for continuing to care for him with the same dedication and affection. We believe he’s in the best hands, surrounded by people who genuinely love what they do.
